We kicked off THUNDER JAMS a few months back & with the economic crisis crunching so many people, we've realized that it's had a major impact on the music industry as well. We'd like to help out by making it more affordable for your band to be a part of the best resource for those looking for entertainment for bikers at rallys, events, special occassions, bars or other venues throughout the region...Thunder Jams. The Mid-Atlantic is filled with great musical talents & we've been fortunate to have found some of the best around, featured right here in our Sound Check pages - yes, that means YOU!.
We're gearing up for 2009 already due to the record number of rides & events that are being scheduled for the upcoming year. With us reaching nearly 40K riders & motorcycle enthusiasts in print & online, every month - this is a great place to be.
To join Thunder Jams, the rates are as follows:
$30 a month (running month to month)
$160 for 6 months ($20 discount)
$300 for 12 months ($60 discount)
You get a complete listing of your band in our Thunder Jams section of the print magazine (which is also available online) & a picture of your band or your logo will be placed on the Thunder Jams page of our website which will be connected to a link to your MySpace or website. You'll receive a pack of the current Thunder Roads magazine each month. We ask that you take a couple of magazines with you to the venues you're playing & give to the owner/manager. This promotes our magazine which also promotes you as a Thunder Jams member.
Our deadlines are the 15th of each month for the following month's issue - band listing & payments must be received by the 15th in order to run.
To get you started, here's what we need from you:
Email thunderroadskelly@yahoo.com to include 5 things:
1) Let us know that you'd like to join us & for how many months.
2) The exact wording that you'd like to appear as your listing. Provide the name of your
band, type of music (optional but encouraged), contact name, phone #, website or
myspace address & types of gigs you book.
3) Your complete mailing address so we can ship you a pack of our current magazines
each month.
4) Attach a picture of your band or your band's logo along with the full link address to your
MySpace or website
5) Your billing information including name of person to be invoiced (who will be paying),
address, contact phone & email.
After we receive your email, you'll get a reply back with an invoice attached & confirmation that we've received all the necessary information for your print listing & online link. We'll let you know if anything further is needed. You'll be directed to go to the Thunder Jams section of our website from the main page to make your payment. Payments MUST be made by clicking on the Thunder Jams link that will provided in the email. As soon as we receive confirmation from our site that your payment has been processed, you'll receive a final email confirming that you're good to go - this let's you know that everything is done & exactly when your listing will appear in print & online.
Your band will also be added to wcfstudios.com's website as part of the Hampton Roads & Beyond music scene where you are welcome to submit a demo CD of your songs which will be included on their continuous play music radio station (WCFS) - this gives your music unlimited exposure on the internet airways. Special discounts on custom promotional packages & studio recording time is being given exclusively to our Thunder Jam bands by WCFStudios. If you don't already have a promo kit, WCFStudios would be happy to create one for you at a discounted rate.
Thunder Roads is solely supported by the businesses that run print advertisements with us - this is how we keep it FREE & out on the road each month for the bikers. We'd appreciate your support by passing along some mags at your gigs & in turn we'll give your band all the support & exposure that we possibly can. Let's keep things rockin' out there together!
